VR Vitalis® Pro is a solution designed specifically for the needs of healthcare facilities

  • In the Luhačovice Spa, a.s., in 2024, with the support of the RBP, we tested rehabilitation in virtual reality (hereinafter referred to as VR). This new technology pushes the boundaries of rehabilitation. Exercises in VR were prescribed by our doctors as part of rehabilitation plans for a number of patients with long-term movement and breathing diagnoses. Patients and physiotherapists alike have praised the exercises with the goggles and working with the app. The tolerance of the procedure - glasses and 3D environment was excellent, and we highly rate the user-friendliness of the environment. The wireless technology made handling easy and last but not least, we praise the excellent support of VR Vitalis®, who equipped us with hardware and software, trained us, serviced us and always responded quickly to our questions or comments. Based on our personal experience of the project, we are making efforts to get the virtual reality rehabilitation procedure paid for on a regular basis.

  • First encountered VR Vitalis® a year ago at a conference where I was able to try out the virtual reality exercises for myself. From the first moment it was clear that it would be a useful tool in rehabilitation. The app is very nicely designed, has a simple design, lots of different modules that we can tailor to the patient. We have observed an increase in patients' motivation to rehabilitate when they are freed from the normal exercise and hospital environment. I highly recommend it as an adjunct to conventional rehabilitation.

  • The Rehabilitation Department of Šternberk Hospital is an outpatient department, the work of FT with VR has been going on for about 8 months, the total number of patients involved is about 50. In our department we focus on HKK diseases, especially shoulder joint. These are conditions after injuries, in chronic overuse of the upper limbs, we also add cervicobrachial syndrome. The patient is admitted by a rehabilitation doctor and is offered virtual reality exercises as part of individual medical rehabilitation. None of the patients we have contacted so far refused the offer, on the contrary, they welcomed it.The patient is first educated by a physiotherapist, it is necessary to relax spastic muscles and Trigger points .Then we start rehabilitation in VR. From our experience, we have seen improvement in joint ranges in every patient and have not experienced negative emotions or other complications. There has been an improvement in physical, but also psychological condition, the patient is happy to have improved mobility more in the elderly patients, because for example for several months reduced mobility , limits the elderly clients in self-sufficiency, and the elderly in many cases live alone, and do not want to be a burden to others. In summary, our department benefits from VR exercise, and we would like to further expand ILTV in VR to other diagnoses.

  • "We have been working with VR VITALIS for a short time, but for our patients, the therapeutic exercise in virtual reality is welcomed and interesting change. We use therapeutic exercise programs for outpatients care after upper extremity injuries, shoulder pain syndromes and back pain. The use of virtual reality exercises has also proven successful in patients with neurological conditions such as RSM and post-stroke conditions. This exercise is also in great demand with paediatric patients, where we even manage to work on attention and overall better concentration of children. People at VR VITALIS are experts in their field and working with them is very rewarding for us."

  • "Virtual reality, as a completely new element, was included in the structure of cognitive rehabilitation in autumn 2022. Since then, it has been successfully used by our clients after traumatic brain injury or with chronic neurological or mental illness. The innovative applications developed by VR LIFE are tailored to the clients' needs and, in addition to the intense experience of the new technology and the comprehensive therapeutic effect, also help to increase their motivation to actively engage in exercise.
We want to gradually develop our cooperation with VR LIFE and the potential of virtual reality so that our therapists can work with clients in a modern and effective way."

  • "We started cooperating with VR Life a year ago, following the implementation of a virtual and augmented reality project as part of the promotion of Lázně Darkov, a.s. at the EXPO 2020 world exhibition in Dubai. We greatly appreciate their professional approach, knowledge and development in the field of virtual reality - they are experts in their field. Thanks to the great cooperation within the first project, we decided to continue in the field of rehabilitation in virtual reality, especially in the area of gait rehabilitation (for immobile clients) and hand rehabilitation in space. In the future, we see great potential to apply virtual reality rehabilitation as part of treatment procedures for patients."

  • We started using virtual reality glasses for seniors at Domov IRIS at the beginning of July. Despite the initial fears and for their safety, we only performed the exercises in a sitting position or in a mechanical wheelchair, and the elderly's fear of new technologies has become almost an addiction. In this way, our seniors exercise their hands with the upper half of their body and involve their cognitive functions by searching for solutions. By watching on the tablet how their roommate is doing and cheering them on, they also develop a social side and mutual communication.

  • At the Pohoda Social Services Centre, virtual reality has become a very popular activity for many of our users, especially in that it rests on two pillars that are important to every senior. Virtual reality has managed to combine these two important elements such as cognitive function and physical activity into one. Another major benefit for us and for the user is that the version available today allows the user to set the appropriate conditions for customised activation. The experts at VR Vitalis® are constantly working to innovate and thus provide users with insight into a simulated real-world environment. We firmly believe that the cooperation with VR Vitalis® will continue to be a rewarding and long-lasting one.

  • In our facility at AGEL Prostějov Hospital, we started using virtual reality in 2023 with a program from VR Vitalis® on Meta Quest 2 goggles. At that time, we had VR from two other companies to test, and we opted for VR Vitalis® because of the ease of use for therapists and the simple understanding of the activities offered to patients. We now use this therapy most often with inpatients at the Medical Rehabilitation Center for diagnoses such as CMP, craniotrauma, Parkinson's disease, post-operative upper extremity conditions (arthroscopy and total shoulder arthroplasty, etc.), and neurosurgical back surgery. Activities with ADL training for the upper limbs are very popular and can be used by patients in the home environment. We choose tasks that are bimanual while utilizing the potential of the whole body. They also stimulate the patient's cognition, requiring coordination of movement and full concentration on the task at hand. The most popular tasks are hanging laundry, chopping wood, putting cups on a shelf, watering flowers, catching butterflies or 3D painting. We have also newly included therapeutic modules for the lower limbs. We have already had several meetings with our colleagues from VR Vitalis® and look forward to further cooperation.

  • We are very grateful for the development of this device. While using it, we have seen our patients themselves strive for positive changes as it is very different from mechanical exercises. Overall, there have been no negative results.

  • The use of virtual reality in our rehabilitation practice is another way to help patients regain lost functional ability, whether caused by injury, orthopedic surgery, or due to neurological or internal disease. We have been using virtual reality not only in the rehabilitation clinics at AGEL Třinec-Podlesí Hospital, but also at our detached workplaces in Bystřice and Jablunkov since 2022. We have established a successful cooperation with VR Vitalis® since 2023, and our patients who have used the individual modules in their upper limb and trunk treatment have been delighted with VR. These were mainly younger patients who are very close to the world of VR. The motivation from the game takes away the fear of movement and partially reduces pain, so we achieve better results in less time when we practice range of motion. We also find the use of VR in patients with asthma, where we apply the breathing module. We perceive virtual reality as an advanced method that has great application in our field, especially in practical use. We are very satisfied with our cooperation with VR Vitalis® and we believe that the horizons of possibilities will continue to expand in line with the technical progress in the field of simulated reality.
