8. Bilateral stroke
Case report on VR Vitalis® Pro

Patient after bilateral CMP
-S conventional rehabilitation started in June 2023
-Start of rehabilitation with VR Vitalis® in December 2023
-Two years of lying without rehabilitation only Botox application.
-Initially unable to be independently mobile in bed or sit up independently.
-Had to be restrained by seat belts while seated in a wheelchair.
-DKD was not in contact with the mat.
-LHK range of motion severely limited, could only manage a maximum of 40° of flexion and 20° of abduction at the shoulder joint, 80° of flexion at the elbow joint, full hand grip function was not maintained. PHK in Wernicke
-Mann posture, unable to actively move in all segments.
-Significant muscular hypotrophy and shortening of the musculature of the HKK and trunk. Extension spasticity of the HSK is also present.
-After therapy he can sit independently without falling sideways for about 20-40 min. He is able to ride independently in an electric wheelchair without being fixed with a belt.
-Currently he is learning to sit up independently.
Modules:
-Mostly use walk for non-ambulatory, free paintingAfter exercising with VR Vitalis®:-
HK and DK in normotone
-Able to stretch better-Sitting is more stable
-Subjectively perceives more confidence.
-Function of LHK and PHK improved.
-Patient reports improved quality of life.
-Now the patient can hold the driver independently and is able to perform monomanual tasks independently and bimanual tasks in VR with light assistance.We use VR Vitalis® 3 times a week.
